Guardiola expects a different game to FA Cup final
The last meeting between these two sides was the FA Cup final back in May, when the Blues completed a domestic clean sweep with a sensational 6-0 win at Wembley. But Guardiola doesn’t expect that thrashing to have much impact on today’s fixture.
“It was the last game of the season, we played knowing we could be part of something unique, never has a team done that in one season,” he said yesterday of the cup final.
“We had a few problems in the beginning with counter attack but when we scored, we were relaxed.
“Now it’s different, the beginning of the season. They’ve changed their manager. they were incredible in the second half against Arsenal. They were so strong in the middle, they are strong and fast. I don’t find any similarities to the FA Cup final.”
